Goodyear Farms Cemetery

This design commemorates the unveiling of "Memoria Entre Las Flores," a tribute honoring the lives of migrant farm workers, veterans, and their descendants, celebrating their enduring contributions to the West Valley. The image of a young girl with wings symbolizes the souls resting in the cemetery while surrounded by bright yellow marigolds and Monarch butterflies, which are deeply rooted in Hispanic culture and traditionally associated with those who have passed on from us.

This mural was created by Catitude Arts in collaboration with Ballet Folklorico Esperanza and the City of Avondale, and created by the artists, Dariana Trevizo and Nyssa Iñiguez.

The mural encapsulates the resilience, unity, and diversity of the community it seeks to remember, ensuring their legacy is forever preserved in this sacred space.
