to Darla, bcc: me
I wonder if you could share with your friends/members some information for 2 art opportunities.
I'd love to share some info for a trip to Italy for my Art Adventures Abroad 2020 I've attached a little postcard with the essential info, if it can be used.
We are staying in a 16th century monastery in the Umbria region of Italy. All transportation (excl airfare), pick up and return to airport, lodging, daily excursions, instruction of making a travel journal, meals and wine included. There is a 10% discount if payment is made by 30 Nov and 10% shared with a spouse/friend.
Presently we are all flying from the DFW airport and I can send flight info on United as well as AA. The United flight connects through Chicago (AA is direct). The United flight has a really great fare.
There is room for more, so think about joining us for this amazing sketching/painting/journaling adventure!
Also I am including a postcard for my 15th and 16th Ghost Ranch 2020 art workshop/retreats in NM see the attached--maybe they can fit in your next newsletter or blast!
Thank you so much,

Suspended Art: Goodyear Light Pole Banners
Goodyear Arts & Culture Commission is looking for Goodyear artists to create artwork for a banner to be displayed on city light poles. Up to four artists will be selected and will receive $1,000! Application materials are due no later than August 30, 2019. The attached Call to Artists outlines project details, project calendar and artist requirements.
Emerging to seasoned artists are encouraged to apply. All mediums of art are acceptable. Please share this opportunity with your contacts. If you have any questions please contact me.
All Goodyear artists interested in designing and displaying their artwork on publicly owned light pole banners on roadways throughout the City are invited. Goodyear displays banners on 148 streetlights. These banners are displayed on:
• East/West on McDowell and Indian School
• North/South on Bullard, Litchfield, and Estrella Parkway
• Wood Boulevard
The banners will be graphically clear, colorful, innovative, and place-specific. The project calls for an artist that is excited about engaging with others and creating designs that reflect and celebrate the area.
Artwork will be printed on 30.5in wide x 72in tall double sided 22oz. block-out vinyl. Artwork will be displayed April through June and be used annually as long as the material remains in good repair and has not faded.
